Basic settings
General configurations of the application can be adjusted via the menu article Basic settings.

| Language | Application display language |
| Inventory number changeable | Switch enables the inventory number of an article to be changed under article data |
| Automatic issue after maintenance | Articles that belong to a fire department are automatically returned to the fire department after maintenance |
| Insert standard suppliers | Creates a pool of existing suppliers under producer/suppliers |
| Automatically close repair during scan in the check | If there is a repair for the article, this is automatically closed during the scan, in a check |
| Designation of the licensee in reports | Designation when printing out the reports, as licensee, is given (In the event that the licensee is not the same as the institution of the test center) |
| Delete the discarded hose completely | After a discard, the switch removes all data that was stored for the article completely from the database (Recovery is no longer possible) |
After Save, the application is automatically reopened and all changes are applied.
Default values
Article-specific standard values can be defined via the menu article Default values.

| Year of production | Specifies the year of manufacture, which should be stored as standard for the articles |
| Offset | X days are added to the acceptance date, as the date for the pressure test |
| Hose color is the distinguishing criterion | Allows the articles to automatically transfer the specified color when creating article groups |
| Pool hose standard | Newly created articles have the switch Is pool hose automatically set |
| Low pressure | Specifies the Low pressure of newly created articles |
| Low pressure duration | Specifies the Low pressure duration of newly created articles |
Barcode
Article-specific standard values can be defined via the menu article Barcode.

| Minimum length | Indicates the minimum length of the barcode |
| Longer of the check digit | Enables the truncation of unwanted check digits at the end of a barcode (usually configuration of your own barcode scanner) |
| Prefer barcode as inventory number | The switch attempts to use the scanned barcode as an inventory number when creating a new article. If the inventory number already exists, the next higher inventory number is selected |
Mobile device
Connection settings for the programmable logic controller can be changed via the menu article Mobile device.

| Is a network device (Android, Dolphin) | Indicates whether the synchronization with the PDA is carried out via the network (The MC 55 uses the MobileDeviceCenter from Microsoft, which is synchronized via a USB connection) |
| Show dialog on device before sync | If the sync is triggered from the application, a dialog for the sync request should be displayed on the PDA Generally, the sync should be triggered via the PDA |
| Local IP address | Specifies the IP address of the system via which the mobile synchronization is to be carried out (Default 192.168.2.2) |
| Local receiving port | Specifies the port via which the mobile synchronization should be carried out (Default 12102) |

PLC
Connection settings to the programmable logic controller can be changed via the PLC menu article.
